Urgent Please-Sri Lanka-Congress
one friend sent to me. I am passing it here for anyone who may use it. This seems to be originated from USA. However including these items, a person from any country can write to his political representative.
Very Urgent Please to Congress:
Action item 1. Please call your 2 Senators and your congressperson and ask them to call State Dept. immediately to condemn and the indiscriminate bombing of the school children/war orphans/IDP/Tsunami victims and church bombing and stop the bombing. Refer Tamilnet and other media that has covered so far.
Action item 2: Please ask them to write a letter or to sign on a letter as soon as we get one ready.
Action item 3: Please make an appointment with them in your district offices and meet with them with your family - women/children and friends. They are all in your state now for recess and it is the election year. Please check their websites and go for their town hall meetings, fund raisers and reach out to them with this issue.
Action item 4: Please contact your local newspapers and ask them to cover it.
SLMM statement is important: Bombed site ‘not military installation’ SLMM.
We hope to get the official SLMM/UNICEF release soon.
