ஈழத்திலே கத்தோலிக்கத்தேவாலயங்களும் கத்தோலிக்க மதகுருமார்களும் தொடர்ச்சியாகத் தாக்குதலுக்கு உள்ளாகின்றார்கள்.

மடுதேவாலயத்திலே இருந்து மாதாவே விரட்டப்பட்டார். திருத்தந்தையர்கள் சகோதரர்களினைக் கொலை செய்வதன் தொடர்ச்சியாக இப்போது கருணைரத்தினம் அடிகளார் சிறிலங்கா படையினராலே கொலை செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்.

அமெரிக்காவுக்கு வந்திருக்கும் புனித பாப்பரசரிடம் இது சொல்லப்படவேண்டும். ஒவ்வொரு தமிழரும் தாம் வாழ்க்கின்ற நாட்டிலே இருக்கும் கத்தோலிக்கப்பீடங்களிடம் இக்கொலைகள் பற்றி முறையிடவேண்டும்.


NESoHR Chairman Fr. Karunaratnam killed in DPU attack

Rev. Father M X Karunaratnam, the chairman of the NorthEast Secretariat on Human Rights (NESoHR), was killed in a Claymore attack carried out by a Deep Penetration Unit (DPU) of the Sri Lanka Army on Sunday, according to initial reports from Tamileelam Police. The attack took place on Mallaavi - Vavunikku'lam Road in Vanni around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, according to initial reports.


Fr. M. X. KarunaratnamFr. Karunaratnam frequently uses the road as his residential prayer and counseling center is located in Vavunikku'lam. His vehicle is known to everyone in the area, residents said implying that the Claymore attack has specifically targeted him.

The attack took place near Kuzhanthai Jesus Church at Vannivi'laangku'lam while his vehicle, which had broken down on his way back to his residence from Maangku'lam Church, was being towed and he was seated in the driver seat steering it. A shrapnel hit his forehead, causing brain injuries and he died on the spot. His body was brought to Ki'linochchi hospital.
